Toronto’s Best Neighbourhoods, Deconstructed

À La Carte

Grant van Gameren may run the block with his equally in-demand Bar Isabel and Bar Raval—neither spot takes reservations—but the most diverse dining strip in Toronto ain’t short on alternatives. Take Victor Barry’s Piano Piano, a casual Italian eatery every bit in tune with his former Splendido. Then there’s DaiLo, the Asian brasserie from Nick Liu, which thankfully restores your faith in so-called “fusion food.” And still going strong is Cory Vitiello’s unfailing Harbord Room, which recently hired chef Robbie Hojilla (formerly of Hudson Kitchen, the It spot for celeb sightings at TIFF 2013) to bring his signature touch to the menu.

“Make sure to stop by Caspar Haydar Design, a haven for home décor lovers! If you’ve been invited to an intimate cast party during the Festival, this is the perfect place for a host gift. And you won’t be able to leave without a beautiful flower arrangement either.”
