The stars at the forefront of fashion.
There are a lucky few A-list stars who have their sartorial sense down to a T. Perhaps it’s not luck—it could be skill, or money, or a great stylist, or all of the above—but it’s there, whatever the reason.
And we’re not talking about those with an expensive but otherwise unimpressive collection of organic designer T-shirts. No, we’re calling attention to those celebs who effortlessly own the red carpet time and time again in an enviable rotation of custom-cut gowns and perfectly tailored suits.
This set wears their clothes like they’ve never been worn before, with a poise and confidence possessed by few.
To celebrate the 41st annual Toronto International Film Festival, we’re tipping our hats to this select group. These are the style icons of today.
Eddie Redmayne is a paparazzi magnet with his perfectly fitted suits and infectious smirk. “Eddie is a shining example of a dapper English dandy,” says Tant. This season, the actor channels his British charm in Prada’s fall 2016 menswear campaign. “He has the perfect physique for fashion’s slim suits, and he wears trends well,” says Tant. Yeah, Eddie knows he’s got game.
East Coast darling Eleanor McCain always makes a sartorial splash, often championing Canadian-designed dresses. “Eleanor is a brilliant ambassador for our nation, and I love to see her wearing Canadian,” says Tant. Take, for example, the emerald green Lucian Matis gown, with its low back and gold chain detailing, that the singer wore for an exclusive photo shoot in her hometown of Florenceville, NB—elegant and oh-so stunning. “Sleeveless styles show off her great shoulders,” adds Tant.
McCain’s latest album, True North: The Canadian Songbook, traces her recent cross-country, multi-orchestra tour. It will be released for Canada’s 150th birthday. Follow along at eleanormccain.ca.
