Nespresso once again provides a cultural cornerstone at TIFF.

Nespresso believes in the power of storytelling through film. This it makes clear again and again through its immersive coffee experiences, ongoing relationships with Hollywood elite like George Clooney, and grassroots involvement at international celebrations of cinema like TIFF.

This year, Nespresso, the official coffee sponsor of TIFF, is supporting the artform by brewing the perfect coffee for festival goers, whether they’re walking the red carpet or snapping selfies from beside it. Nespresso has again teamed up with ET Canada to create the Festival Central interview lounge, which has served as the setting for celebrity interviews and exclusive digital experiences since 2015. Last year, heavy-hitting names like Jessica Chastain, Priyanka Chopra, Jim Carrey, Diane Kruger, and Guillermo Del Toro all stopped by. While the interview lounge is closed to the public, fans can get an insider look exclusively on Nespresso social media channels and with the hashtags #NespressoMoments and #NespressoTIFF.

Of course, it’s not just A-list stars who need a coffee break. Nespresso will also be pouring complimentary cups for the public at its retail outlets across the city and at the David Pecaut Square Pop-Up Café.

Also making its Canadian debut at TIFF this year is Nespresso Talents, an ongoing competition that supports young creatives and encourages participants to tell a story using vertical video (rather than the traditional horizontal format). This year’s theme, The Difference She Makes, celebrates boundary-pushing women, and the winner will be announced at an exclusive event during TIFF.

With a strong presence brought to life by a variety of engaging activations throughout the city of Toronto, Nespresso remains one of TIFF’s most stalwart supporters.

Unicorn Store After Party

After Brie Larson’s directorial debut for Unicorn Store premiered at TIFF in 2017 Nespresso hosted a whimsical soiree to celebrate the film. The after-party featured rainbow decorations as well as lattes with impressive and intricate rainbow art by barista Brian Leonard.

Coffee with Creators

Nespresso’s exclusive Coffee with Creators series creates an intimate setting for filmmakers, industry experts, and directors (like Brie Larson, pictured here) to discuss their works.
